    Poonhill Trek

Best trip ever thanks to Welcome Nepal Trek and the staff! Hari Khadka has been very helpful the entire time since I started planning the trip and he tried very hard to fit everything in my tight schedule (I didn’t to miss anything during my 10 day trip in Nepal! I got picked up at airport by his partner ( who was waiting for almost two hours for me thank you so so much!!!) Bhumira is the best tour guide you would ever get who had accompanied me the majority of the time in Nepal. Without her and the porter, I would have never had such an amazing trip!!!! She organized everything along the way and tried her best to accommodate me when I wanted to make some changes halfway through the trip. Thanks to Hari and her, I was able to add some more activities on the last days in Nepal. Hari kept in touch with me to make sure I was enjoying the time there!!!! If you are ever unsure of choosing the right travel company for your trip to Nepal, don’t hesitate to pick Welcome Nepal Trek!

    Everest Base Camp Trek

Serdecznie polecam!

    Annapurnna Circuit is a must.

Just last week my daughter and I trekked the Circuit on a private tour. The trip was put together by Hari at Welcome Nepal Treks. Our brief was quite specific in that we wanted a full turnkey bespoke trip including airport pick up, accom, tour guides in the major cities and the best guides available. In short it was a fairly big ask and I was skeptical as to what to expect.
From the get go we were looked after better than expected from airport pick up to airport drop off 10 days later. Our guide for the trek was Prem who was an absolute gentleman from the get go. Prem was very much at home in the hills and we couldn’t find fault in the way he conducted himself and had each day well planned out. We made a couple of changes along the way which would normally cause concern, nothing was a problem for Prem or Welcome Nepal Treks [WNT] and changes were made without any issues.
I have done a few Treks and the Annapurnna Circuit was ideal for myself and 21 yo daughter. We had a trip of a lifetime and can’t endorse Hari and the team at WNT high enough.

    Everest Base Camp Trek 2017

I joined Welcome Nepal Treks (owned by Hari Khadkha) for an Everest Base Camp Trek between 05 and 23 Oct 2017 for 16 Days. Back in Apr, 2017 three of us did a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan with them and were quite impressed with their service so decided to take on the more challenging EBC Trek with the same Tour Operator owned and managed by Hari Khadkha.

Further one of the most decisive things for choosing this trek with Welcome Nepal Treks was our guide in the previous tour, Ngima Ongel Lama who was such a wonderful person, someone a whole lot more than a guide. We were very much comfortable and impressed with his service so I decide to do the EBC Trek with Welcome Nepal Treks on the condition that Ngima (pronounced Neema) would accompany me. I wanted someone who had a lot of experience, knowledge and patience to accompany me on this solo trek and I was sure he was the right choice.

Well, now that I managed to complete my trek very successfully, I can safely say I couldn't have found a better guide than Ngima. He was simply amazing and without him I wouldn't have been able to do this successfully. So if you ever wanna do EBC Trek, Welcome Nepal Treks is highly recommended as Hari gave me a very good price for a solo trek but do insist on having Ngima as your guide coz he's a lot more than highly recommended.

EBC is approximately 120+ km in length both ways but depending on the route and by treks you do, this can only go higher. At the end of my trek, I'd done somewhere between 160-175km over 15 Days. That's a one tough yet an amazing trek you should attempt at least once in your life time.

Why is EBC trek so dangerous? It's the High Altitude and as a result Lack of Oxygen. You start your trek in Lukla which is at 2,840m (9,318ft) and you end up at EBC at 5,364m (17,600ft) which is an altitude gain of 2,524m (8,280ft). If you attempt Kalapaththar, that is at 5550m (well over 18,200ft).

Remember, when you cross the 12,000ft mark, that's the killer zone and Oxygen level starts to decrease rapidly. Therefore you have to keep an eye out for Acute Mountain Sickness or AMS which can kill you in no time with very little warning. Also trekking for so long means you’re prone to injuries quite easily such as sprained ankles, diarrhea, headaches, etc.

Why do you need Ngima as a Guide? Coz he's done EBC Trek (and many other high altitude treks) more than 50 times and I’m not kidding. He’s such an easy-going person with exceptional qualities. Not once you’ll regret of having him as your guide.

Thanks to his experience, he will be able to see if you’re suffering from AMS or not before you even know it. Remember, knowing this in advance will mean life or death as AMS is a sudden and a silent killer. Further he knows the Everest Region better than the back of his hand. No matter where you are, he knows the best places for viewpoints, have safe drinking water, the best paths and guest houses to stay at.

Having him almost guarantees you have a successful trek and I can vouch for him from my very own experience.

Why go with Welcome Nepal Treks? Well, Hari offered me a very attractive price and he’s so reasonable and easy to deal with. Quick to respond to any inquiry and will help you tailor-make your journey just like he did with mine. It was a great experience all in all and I’ll have no hesitation in partnering with them for any future hikes in Nepal.

Well, I hope you all will have a great trek if you ever visit the Everest Base Camp. Good luck folks!

Trek ich also nächstes in Nepal machen soll.

    Amazing Poon Hill Trek!

This was our first time traveling to Nepal and we had no expectations at all. Our plan was to stay 6 days which included our 3 day trekking trip. We had booked our flight tickets separately and arranged the trekking trip online. Mr. Hari was the point of contact through WhatsApp was very respectful, kind and prompt in responding to our inquiries abut the trekking trip. He had asked for our flight tickets along with our passport details. Hari had organized everything from hotel bookings, food to transportation that was according to our flight tickets. When we arrived to Nepal International airport, we were welcomed by Mr. Nawa, who was a very kind and helpful being who knew English fluently. The hotel we stayed in was Thamel Eco Resort, it is peaceful and the staff were very warm and welcoming. We later continued our journey as per the itinerary set by the company. We reached the following day to Pokhara and stayed in the Hotel "City Inn", spacious room with beautiful views from the balcony. The next day was our 1st day of the trek and we met our Tour Guide who goes by the name Ganesh, a wonderful, down to earth and one of the most awesome person whom you will ever meet if he turns out to be your tour guide. He was really caring, helpful and punctual throughout the trip. He also helped us in a situation where there was slight misunderstanding where we thought that we didn't require a porter to help us carry our heavy backpacks since it was our first time trekking. Our experience with Ganesh was superb and we would highly recommend Ganesh as your tour guide.
Overall the company will sort out all your needs.

    Regards,
    Mishuu
