Nepal
Nepal is a beautiful country geographically, naturally, and culturally. From the Terai (plains) to the mountains (Himalayas), there is a lot to explore and experience. Home to many ethnic groups, the country boasts extremely rich and rooted traditions, practices, and belief systems.
You will be amazed to see how communities with completely different backgrounds, languages, norms, and faith coexist harmoniously. And this is what makes Nepal very special. You will explore Kathmandu, Chitwan, and Pokhara during your time in Nepal. These are the top three tourist destinations.
The 13 days Nepal Bhutan tour begins with your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our team will escort you to Thamel, the tourist hub in Kathmandu. Here, you will explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, etc.
All these places will provide you with an excellent insight into Nepali heritage, lifestyle, art, and architecture. Likewise, you will also have a chance to try many local dishes, including momo, dal bha, yomori, Newar khaja, etc. From Kathmandu, you will travel to Chitwan.
Chitwan is famous for the Tharu community, one-horn rhinos, canoeing, and deep jungle walks. After enjoying the bustle of Kathmandu, you will now spend time relishing the tranquility and wilderness of Chitwan National Park. Here, you will visit Tharu village to have a quick look at their traditional attire, music, dance, and lifestyle.
Tharus is one of the indigenous communities in Nepal. It has a very vibrant culture and
practices worth exploring. Likewise, you will take part in a jeep safari that will take you deep inside the Chitwan National Park to see wild animals and birds like one-horn rhinos, Bengal tigers, elephants, wild boards, peacocks, deer, etc.
You will also visit elephant and crocodile breeding centers. For the final part of the tour in Nepal, you will travel to Pokhara. Pokhara is the city of lakes and the gateway to the Annapurna region. It is the second biggest city in Nepal, yet deeply connected to nature.
You will have lovely mornings with beautiful sunrises and stunning snowy mountain views. In this city, you will explore lakes, caves, and viewpoints. From the serenity of Phewa Lake and Sarangkot Viewpoint to the thrill of Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Davis Falls, you will have an excellent retreat in nature.
You can see the famous mountains like Fishtail, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri. After exploring Pokhara, you will return to Kathmandu and fly to Paro, Bhutan.
Bhutan
Bhutan is the second country you will visit on this tour. Like Nepal, it is a lovely little nation nestled between India and China. Bhutan is known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon. It is an exclusive country in South Asia that is expensive and has strict rules for foreigners.
Bhutan follows a high-value, low-impact tourism policy, which allows it to offer the finest travel experience while preserving its roots. Unlike the rest of the world, the country measures its economic growth based on Gross National Happiness (GNH) philosophy. You will see how modernization has not overtaken the Bhutanese heritage but coexisted with it.
Every city will present ancient Bhutanese art, architecture, and modern conveniences. Bhutan has many special things, such as its carbon-negative status, a government that prioritizes the happiness of its residents, Himalayan peaks, serene valleys, glacial rivers, heart-warming hospitality, and kindness.
You will start the journey in Bhutan with a scenic, short flight from Kathmandu. It will be around one to one and a half hour flight. You will land in Paro, where our Bhutanese representatives will welcome you. Instead of spending the night in Paro, you will drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. It is around two hours away from Paro.
Here, you will explore Changangkha Lhakhang, Buddha Dordenma Statue, Tashichho Dzong, Simtokha Dzong, the National Folk Heritage Museum, and the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan. These tourist sites offer a great insight into Bhutanese culture, traditions, and beliefs.
You will also discover intricate Bhutanese craftsmanship, art, and architecture. From Thimphu, the tour continues to Punakha. On the way to Punakha, you will cross the iconic Dochula Pass (3,200 m/10,500 ft). The pass offers stunning views of mountains like Teri Kang, Gangkar Puensum, Table Mountain, etc.
Likewise, you will also see a striking view of the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens and Dochula Druk Wangyel Monastery from the pass. In Punakha, you will explore Chimi Lhakhang Temple, Punakha Dzong, and Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. From Punakha, you will return to Paro and spend two nights before flying out of the country.
While in Paro, you will hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest Monastery. It will be an incredible short hike with striking scenery. Likewise, you will also visit Kyichu Lhakhang, Drukgyel Dzong, Drukgyel Dzong ruins, Ta Dzong Museum, Rinpung Dzong, Dungtse Lhakhang, and the Farmhouses in Paro.
On final departure day, your guide will drop you at the Paro International Airport and bid you our last goodbye and good wishes.
