Things you will do in Nepal

The 15 days Nepal Bhutan tour starts from Kathmandu, Nepal. You will spend one week in Nepal and then travel to Bhutan. During this one week, you will explore the historical sites of Kathmandu, experience the jeep safari in Chitwan National Park, and enjoy views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Mt. Fishtail in Pokhara.

All three cities you will travel to in Nepal will provide different experiences. Kathmandu is the city of temples and the capital of Nepal. Ancient historical buildings coexist with modern skyscrapers in this city. Though the city is full of beautiful cafes, shops, and restaurants, every corner embodies faith and divine energy.

The package includes guided sightseeing of tourist sites like Monkey Temple, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These historical sites showcase the rich Nepali culture, intricate architecture, marvelous art, and great history.

Chitwan and Pokhara are the other two cities you will explore in Nepal. Chitwan is famous for one-horn rhinos, Bengal tigers, elephants, and the jeep safari in the Chitwan National Park. Additional activities in this city involve canoeing, bird watching, and excursions to a Tharu village, an indigenous Nepali community.

Conversely, Pokhara boasts natural wonders like mountains, caves, lakes, and waterfalls. The city breathes nature. One moment, you will be in the middle of the city's bustle, and the other, you will be relishing the tranquility of Phewa Lake. Davi's Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Bat Cave, Sarangkot, Begnas Lake, etc, are a few must-visit tourist sites in Pokhara.

Travelers can also combine short hikes in the Annapurna region because Pokhara is the gateway to Annapurna. You can also experience paragliding, hot air balloon rides, zip-lining, bungee jumping, etc, in this city. After exploring Chitwan and Pokhara, you will return to Kathmandu and take a short, around one-hour flight to Paro, Bhutan.

Your time in Bhutan

First of all, the flight between Kathmandu and Paro offers outstanding aerial views of the Himalayas. It will be one of the most incredible flights of your life. Second, at Paro Airport, our Bhutanese representatives will welcome you for a smooth start to your tour of this country.

In Bhutan, you will spend the first night in Thimphu. Upon landing in Paro, you will drive to Thimphu. It will be around two hours of comfortable drive. Spend some time freshening up, and later, visit a few tourist sites with your guide. As you have a full day in Thimphu, you can take your arrival day easy and get ample rest.

During your tour of Thimphu, you will visit many tourist sites, such as the National Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Temple, Drubthob Monastery, School of Arts and Crafts, National Library, Traditional Paper Factory, and Folk Heritage Museum. You will get an excellent insight into the Bhutanese lifestyle and culture in Thimphu.

You have only one night in Gangtey. Therefore, you will visit as many tourist sites as possible. The Gangtey Monastery and Gangtey Nature Trail will be our main attractions in this city. If you are in Gangtey between October and February, you may also get to see the rare black-necked cranes.

Leaving Gangtey, you will travel to Trongsa, the historical heart of Bhutan. In this city, you will explore the largest and most impressive fortress in Bhutan, the Trongsa Dzong, built in 1644. Likewise, you will also explore Trongsa Museum and Chendebji Chorten and walk around the city discovering traditional-style Bhutanese homes.

From here, you will travel to Punakha, which was the capital of Bhutan until 1955. This lovely city houses the early events and crucial historical moments that took place in Bhutan. The Chimi Lhakhang Temple, Punakha Dzong, and Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten are the main highlights of this city.

Finally, you will return to Paro and spend two nights there before flying home. In Paro, you will hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest. Located 3,120 meters above sea level, this monastery is a marvelous example of traditional Bhutanese architecture.

Likewise, you will also visit Rinpung Dzong, Drukgyel Dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan, and Ta Dzong here. Our guide will drop you off at the Paro International Airport on the last day of the tour and bid you our last goodbye.

Best Time to Do 15 Days Nepal Bhutan Tour

The greatest times to go on the 15 days Nepal Bhutan Tour are in the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is nice, the skies are clear, and the landscapes are at their most magnificent. Spring brings lush vegetation, blossoming flowers, and moderate temperatures, making it a perfect season for touring and outdoor activities. Autumn, on the other hand, brings crisp air, stunning mountain views, and exciting cultural festivals that enhance the whole experience. While winter (December to February) is a quieter season with less visitors, it may be rather chilly, particularly in Bhutan. The monsoon season (June to August) is less favorable due to significant rains, which may cause travel disruptions.
