One of the major highlights of this day will be the crossing of Gyatso La Pass (5,220 m), also known as Gyatchu La Pass. The views of the high-altitude desert dotted with glacial streams from the past are spectacular.
The following day, you will wake up early and go on an excursion to Everest Base Camp. EBC is located only 8 kilometers away from Rongbuk. It is a short ride to the base camp, where you will be surrounded by heavenly, rugged, glacial landscapes.
