Visited Nepal for the first time with my other two friends from 8 Apr till 18 Apr covering Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dhampus and Chitwan. Hari of Welcome Nepal Treks responded to our queries promptly and offered a very competitive package according to our needs and it included exciting tours of Manakamana Cable Car and Paragliding at Pokhara which were simply amazing.

He had arranged excellent hotels for us in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan and was true to his word. The star of the tour was Ngima (pronounced as Nima), our guide who was such an amazing character. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have enjoyed this trip as much. He had a wealth of knowledge about everything, especially on trekking. Being a Sherpa himself, he had so many interesting tales to share during long drives between our destinations. Such a friendly, attentive, hospitable and considerate person he was.

You can simply tailor-make your trip without solely going on what's on offer and Hari will be more than happy to accommodate you.

However if you're visiting Nepal, a few words of caution.

1. Traffic in Kathmandu is insane so don't plan to visit many places in and around Kathmandu in one day. We had planned to visit 3 places but had to cut short our journey after the Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) as the traffic was insane.

2. Always use an A/C vehicle otherwise you'd be choked to death by the dust in Kathmandu. There's been very little development effort despite the enormous donations received after the earthquake. Wherever we went, people were blaming the politicians for corruption. Also, take face masks if you're walking around Kathmandu.

3. Try flying even though it's costlier instead of road travel as the roads are not in good shape or in repairing stage. Thanks to Ngima we could avoid most of the congestion but there was so much he or Hari could do.

4. If you're flying Jet Airways and carrying Power Banks, make sure to keep them in the hand luggage. We had a terrible experience where they left our luggage at Mumbai despite promises to take them on the same plane after asking to remove our power banks from the luggage. However there was nothing mentioned when we flew from Colombo to Mumbai on the same airline. Thanks to Hari, we didn't have to worry about this as he himself went to the Kathmandu Airport to retrieve the bags on the following day.

5. You can buy trekking gear in Kathmandu for very low prices but be prepared to haggle over the price before settling on a fee.

Must dos:

* Paragliding from Sarangkot in Pokhara.
* Boat Ride at Phewa Lake.
* Cable Car Ride at Manakamana between Kathmandu and Pokhara.
* At least a short trek such as Dhampus.

Can I also request you not do the Elephant Rides even though it makes very appealing. Those animals are undergoing so much hardships due to this and only way to stop this is to not take those rides by the travelers. This would even put a stop to elephant poaching from India or Nepal forests.

Finally, Welcome Nepal Treks was a very good choice and we really enjoyed their company and company. Hari is a very good host and his brother who works at Kathmandu City Hotel is such a helpful guy who'd go beyond his call of duty to serve their clients. Ngima is the best thing happened to us in Nepal and I'm already thinking of doing Everest Base Camp Trek with Welcome Nepal Treks but if only Ngima is coming.

Welcome Nepal Treks & Tours provided a fabulous experience for my wife and I. We are very particular when we travel and wanted to ensure that things went just so. We emailed Hari and he was very accommodating and ensured that everything we wanted to do would be accomplished.
Hari arranged all of the following for us:
1) A flight over Everest
2) Local sightseeing in Kathmandu and Pokhara
3) A six day trek through the Himalayas
4) A jungle safari in Chitwan

When we arrived, he met us at the airport and walked us through the plan for the whole week. We were very comfortable with the entire process and knew we were in good hands.

Hari found us excellent guides and porters, who ensured the entire trek was well-planned and comfortable. While in the Chitwan Jungle, we had luxurious accommodations.

I think what impressed me the most was that we never had to wait for transportation - Hari or one of this employees would always be waiting for us when we arrived.

I highly recommend Welcome Nepal, they provide excellent service, customized to your needs!

This is one of the best experiences of my life. We traveled in Nepal with Welcome Nepal Treks in early September and had an absolutely amazing time. Hari Khadka responded so quickly to our emails and together with his team provided us with a never to be forgotten trip. The itinerary included so many interesting sites and we were given plenty of time to absorb each experience. Hotels were good and well sited and transport comfortable. Hari and his team are quite exceptional, they care and do whatever necessary to ensure we have the best trip ever.

We had that 5 days Nagarkot and pokhara sarankot hiking organized by Mr Hari Khadka it was most wonderful trip I ever had. Es la segunda vez que viajo a Nepal con "Welcome Nepal Treks" y perfecta experiencia de nuevo.

Esta vez el tour tuvo una duración de 10 días, donde pudimos conocer en profundidad la cultura del país y nos permitió visitar los principales atractivos turísticos de Katmandú (Boudhanath) y Pokhara, y descubrir el complejo de templos de Lumbini, lugar donde nació Buda.
Al ser pocos días y poder aprovechar más el tiempo, la vuelta a Katmandú desde Lumbini estaba perfectamente organizada con un vuelo de vuelta ya que las distancias son largas.

Todos los alojamientos, guías, chófer, etc., a lo largo de todo el viaje estuvieron muy bien, buena calidad/precio.

El Sr. Hari y todo su equipo, como siempre, han sido muy amables, organizados y han hecho que la experiencia sea inolvidable. La comunicación con la empresa es rápida, correcta y cercana en todo momento.

This is my first trek in nepal with welcome nepal treks.It was an exciting poonhill trek organized by Welcome nepal treks where my guide hari was very helpful and supportive.They organized every things delightfully like hotel they provided was very nice and clean and good transport. I would like to recommend this company to my friend!

To travel with Welcome Nepal Treks it’s really an experience of professionalism and friendship! We have visited Kathmandu, Pokhara and Mustang day tour with best guide always without any kind of problem. Despite the three of us changing all pre-planning for our trekking tour well during the trip and despite of the changes due to unpredictable weather conditions, Hari and his team were perfectly able to cope with their organization -many thanks especially to Parshuram our tour guide. Prices are also nice and calculated on a fair and understandable basis. Therefore 5 stars and hopefully back soon for another adventure.
